Description

Tensions that have simmered throughout the Zytchin III negotiations finally reach a breaking point on Starbase 113. As the meeting between Federation representatives and the Zytchin leadership collapses into shouting, Vice Admiral Jack Reacher finds himself at the center of a volatile standoff.

When one of the Zytchin civilian security aides—personally attached to Governor Rennak Torvak—steps too close to the Admiral during a heated exchange, the situation explodes. A single strike from Reacher, fueled by instinct and a lifetime of command stress, ignites a full-blown diplomatic crisis.

Now, Starbase 113 is on lockdown, the media channels are ablaze with speculation, and the Beta Quadrant Diplomatic Corps is scrambling to contain what could become a Federation-level scandal.

Mission Summary

The diplomatic talks on Starbase 113 had nearly deteriorated. Prime Minister T’Val and Governor Torvak clashed over sovereignty language, Elder S’Kai denounced Federation interference, and High Councilor Drax accused Starfleet of manipulation. Amid the chaos, Vice Admiral Reacher tried to maintain order—
The exchange was brief, and Reacher became slightly animated. The situation was charged with pride on both sides. The Andorian had gently placed his hand on Reacher’s arm in attempt to ‘calm him’ ornsonhe claimed and Reachers reflexes, honed from his days as an LAPD SWAT commander, took over. Commander Riley and Lieutenant Voss are key witnesses.

Within the hour, the incident was logged as an “Assault” under Federation Diplomatic Statute 47-B. Reacher was confined to quarters pending review by JAG, and the Zytchin government began drafting formal protest papers to the Federation Council.

The Beta Quadrant Command chain is now forced to navigate the political firestorm, as questions rise about what truly caused the blowup—and whether it was spontaneous, or deliberately provoked.

A court martial by his peers is ordered impaneled by Starfleet Command in an attempt to get ahead of any extradition attempts being made on their newly promoted Vice Admiral.
