Mission: Episode 1 "Operation Iron Justice" USS Halo, Star Base 113, USS Vigilance
Location: Location: USS Halo, Cetacean Ops
Timeline: Timeline: MD-4

Roy was heading down to the Cetacean Ops to see how the work on all those string theories and the Navigation paths that led to all those portal destinations was going. Wandering in just in time to see LT Bill fly in the room from the turbo lift on some kind of exotic hover boards. As the aforementioned dolphin hit the water, Roy was expecting to get hit by a wave of water.

But he didn't, as Bill gently lowered himself into a cradle that hung out over one edge of the 20×30 metre pool, and wiggled himself out of the repulsor harness and rolled into the pool.

"So," Roy, the part-time Navigator/Pilot/ Sensor Operator, full-time marine, asked. "How's the cake coming. Errr, well, the unraveling of the secrets of the portal travel maps?"

"Pretty good, first to calculations are done, we can start to deciphrr the destination points, frames of references, dimensional coordinates and whatnot after we get the third calculation. Once we have 3 vectors isolated we're can start plotting the sets of quantum differentials in actual points in space and time." Bill squeeked as he swam a few laps.

One of the views I saw, was an Akira-class Federation starship. Its Hull number is not in our list of active or named Federations starships... I even looked at the Plans at the Utopia Planitia Starfleet Ship Yards. There is no planned hull number that matches it. Did I see something from another universe, or dimension?

"Probably. Alternate realities, mirror universes, the multiverse is real. There's some smart cetacean cosmologists that think were just in a black thats in a black hole thats in another black whole, and thats not even adding in time travel, paradoxes and timeline contamination." Bill swam around the pool a few more times.

Later, Roy noticed a new scar, then asked, "Were you playing full-contact water volleyball? What does the other guy look like? Errrr fish... ermm... opponent?"

"Delphis? Ah, he's fine. We were playing snout ball, and I went up for a wicked spike and over judged my counter rotation and slammed into the edge of the pool deck over there. Oh, hey look, Delphis cleaned up all the blood already, Thanks Delphis!" Bill squeeked.

"No problem!" Delphis stated from where he worked.

"How you doing bud? Getting ready to deploy on the big search and rescue mission to find all these missing vessels?" Bill asked the Corporal.

Roy looked around the pool, then daid,"Well, I just push buttons and plot the course...The course that least tempt's fate, the bad guys and other hostile entities. Then there are other times... Times, I surf... errr.. The closest analogy is surfing the universe, like riding a pressure wave. I have been asked not to do it sometimes, but it is like driving in an inefficient way, like taking longer to get there. That and hitting every pot hole and speed bump along the way. Like fighting the current, when you could get where you're going faster by going with it. And you would get a smoother, much smoother ride.

"Are you drunk, Corporal?"

Roy did his best to look insulted, then said," Oi, do you see any Scotch bottles looking empty around here? NO? Then I guess one of us is not Drunk..."

"Do you wanna get drunk?" Bill smiled.

Delphis looked to them. "Lets Not, We got worked to do an if what i hear about this Captain, i rather not be drunk when he dose come down here."

Roy shook his head, then said, "If the captain might be coming down here, then I am leaving!" Roy beat a fast cadence, and with a hasty exit, almost ran for the turbolift!"

"Way to go dude, scared him off with your mambi pamby worrying." Bill stuck his tongue out at Delphis before leaping up and diving back down into the pool to go work on the third set of calculations.
