Mission Summary
The transition of Kaitaama from Princess to Queen has shifted the balance of politics in the Kriosian monarchy. Now recognized as a sovereign leader in her own right, she has requested direct talks with Starfleet Command to ensure her people’s security in a volatile quadrant. Pirates, Klingon opportunists, and unstable Romulan factions have tested the stability of the region — and Krios may be a linchpin in Federation diplomacy moving forward.
Vice Admiral Reacher, commanding the new Beta Quadrant Operational Theater, must weigh the risks and rewards of increasing Starfleet’s footprint. Will Krios become a keystone world in the Federation’s strategy, or remain on the periphery, reliant on patrols and the lone presence of the Vigilance?
The meeting at Starbase 113 will not only decide the scope of Starfleet’s presence, but also test the growing political partnership — and personal bond — between the Kriosian crown and Starfleet officers.
