Mission: Episode 2: Pillars of the Theater - USS Vigilance, Star Base 113
Location: Starbase 113 Holosuite 19
Timeline: Day 8

Eska was sitting in the randomly generated cave in the Holosuite. There was a small fire burning in the center of the cave. There was some form of animal sitting on a rock shard, cooking. Her mind was still spinning from the horrid thing she had done. She dumped her lunch upon a Captain, and not just any Captain, but the wife of the Admiral on this station.

She was thinking about the trouble she was in. They did seem nice enough, but she had read enough stories and histories about how high-level Commanders were completely horrid. Eska only stared into the holographic fire. Her mind was dancing through the various possibilities.

She sighed heavily, as she was still reeling from everything. Throwing her meal on the Captain, being promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade, or even passing Starfleet Medical. Right now, Eska is worried about what the Admiral and the Captain are planning to do to her career.

She reached out and turned the digger meat as it cooked. Eska's mind just kept turning over everything. Life within Starfleet was hard on her, but she still wanted to try to learn more, so she could take that knowledge home and help her people, the Novans.

She sighed heavily again before Eska threw the roasted meat across the holographic cave. She didn't know why she was getting so upset. She could see her career ending because she accidentally threw her lunch on a Captain. Now she was wondering if the Winters would allow her to work at their Research Center.

Eska looked at the meat sitting in the dirt across the cave. But then another thought came to her. What if her career wasn't ending, but her own mind was playing havoc on her? She did miss the tunnels that she was born in, but she needed to learn more to help her people overcome their fear of anything outside those very tunnels.

Eska sighed again as she stood when she heard the chirp, that her time in the holosuite was ending. She watched the fire for a few moments longer, then it was replaced with the holo grid. She turned towards the door. She was tired, so tired.
