Mission: Episode 1A "Shadows of the Empire"
Location: Deck 17 - Lower Science Labs Physics Lab - Vector 3
Timeline: Away Team On Surface

Kate Bock and Olivia Ponton were busy working to find a way home. The away team was on the surface, dealing with whatever hellhole they encountered down there.

Accompanied by T'lara, Situs entered the labs. He unclasped his cape in annoyance and motioned over to the executive officer to have a seat. "Miss Kate, Miss Olivia. Drop whatever you are doing and come here."

Kate and Olivia were already mustering some ideas when given the order to drop whatever they were doing, so they did as told and awaited further orders from Situs.

Commander T'lara stood had a horrible look on her face. Kate, Olivia, and she had been running through the numbers for 6 hours now and had not had a single idea.

He dropped his cape on a nearby chair as he tapped on the terminal, a small screen filling with contradictory readings. The computer is unable to make sense of the small differences in their new reality.

"Command has asked us to do the impossible, so we are not going to do that. It would take decades to invent a way to return. So we will have to recreate the phenomenon that brought us here."

T'lara's eyebrow rose. "Fascinating proposal, sir, but we have yet to determine what that was exactly." She said, watching as he moved.

"Miss Kate, I need you to get to engineering. I need the data of every single molecule of the ship during our transfer. Miss Olivia, I'm transferring everything I have on the event to your station. Call Commander Ardon directly. The method we are going to use is very unhealthy, and medical professionals need to know."

He finished his taps and presented a PADD to the executive officer. "I need the captain's authorization to dismantle and extract the active materials from 5 quantum torpedoes."

"Yes, Sir, Heading to Engineering now," Kate reported as she grabbed a padd and walked out to make her way to Engineering.

Olivia halted for a moment at her orders. "Sir, isn't Commander Ardon on the Away team with Admiral Reacher?" Olivia asked

"That means that I would need to be the one to give that authorization as XO. And I must say, until you run me through your plan, it is illogical to permit such an action." She stated, however, that this gave her an idea. She rushed to the control panel and pulled up the wavelength of the moment they had been transported. "That's it! That's why that didn't look right! These readings, this phenomenon is artificial from a Klingon subspace mine!"

Olivia looked to the T'Lara. "How is that possible!"

''Right... of course he is on the away team, Olivia, get to sickbay and find me whoever's in charge instead of him instead.d" He tapped. Several wave patterns appeared on the screen until some of those were interjected. "I am only drafting a proposal; it is neither your decision nor mine whether we use this plan. That's the captain's job. Why do you think I'm having Kate and Olivia get engineering and medical data? The plan is violent, twisting subspace in such a way that it spews the ship into another reality is going to put an enormous strain on the ship and crew."

As the lines interjected, most of them immediately stopped, while others spiked high enough to be categorized as errors by the computer. "I don't need to know exactly how we got here. That would take years of study, maybe even decades. If anyone knew how to travel like that on purpose, we would be able to travel between universes as easily as using the warp. A feat impossible for most known races. I only need to know the effects of the phenomenon. And the torpedoes have the active material I need to recreate it. Impossible to synthesize in any usable quantity aboard this ship."

"Understood." Olivia then walked out to the medical bay.

"Here is a proposal. Do you think we might be able to get a sub-space communication out via the warhead in that Quantum torpedo? A Quantum Subspace beacon?" She would ask, watching as he drafted his proposal.

"What would that do? I am trying to move the ship through realities, not to set up a telephone line. See that right here? There should be delta radiation in the void. It doesn't exist. Because this is the part where we came through. The rift is still there. I just need enough raw material to crack it open long enough for the ship to move through it."

"Just do it, Engineering, prep a Quantum torpedo and have it turned into a Quantum Subspace beacon."

"Admiral, we're gonna need to beam you back now, engineering will be launching a Quantum Subspace beacon, and it's gonna cause helll"

=/\="Roger Halo, Beam us up"=/\=
